Research Report
1. Think of a topic that you find interesting enough to do research on and share with an audience. It should be something from which the audience can learn or be informed about as a result of knowing.
2. Conduct research and produce a 3-4 paged report, not including the works cited page and the title page.
3. Some examples of topics that students have done for this assignment are as follows: the increasing amount of trash that humans are accumulating on earth and its possible effect on the environment, the aging infrastructure of cities across the U.S., the teenage pregnancy rate in this country in states, the shrinking of drinking water tables in the U.S. and the threat to water availability. These are just examples.
4. You are required to have at least 3 but no more than 5 sources.
5. The report has to be typed and double spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font.
6. You need to use the MLA style of documentation.
7. You need a title page that contains vertically centered from top to bottom: “Research Report,” your name, “English 213,” “Spring 2019,” and the title you choose for the report based on the topic.
8. Your research report is due March 20th.
9. This is a short report, but please do not wait until the last minute to get started.
