    Physical Development

                Stature. In this paragraph, describe the height, weight, and any other noteworthy aspect of the child. How does this child’s stature compare to his/her peers? Cite your source for any evidence from the text or journals.

                Gross Motor Development.Briefly explain to the reader what gross motor skills are (cite your source). What gross motor skills were noted? Were they age appropriate? How did his/her motor development conform to with what you explained earlier?

    Fine Motor Skills.Briefly explain to the reader what fine motor skills are (cite your source). What fine motor skills were noted? Were they age appropriate? How did his/her motor development conform to with what you explained earlier?

    Psychosexual Development

    Briefly explain to the reader Freud’s psychosexual stage theory (cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, what stage would they best fit into? How is the person you observed doing in terms of reconciling any conflict in that stage? What behaviors did you note to come to that determination?

    Cognitive

    Piaget’s Cognitive Stage Theory.Briefly explain to the reader Piaget’s Cognitive stage theory (cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, what stage would they best fit into? How is the person you observed doing in terms of reconciling any conflict in that stage? What behaviors did you note to come to that determination?

    Vygotsky.Briefly explain to the reader Vygotsky’s view of cognitive development (cite your source). Based on your observation, how is scaffolding being used to shape the person’s learning? What behaviors did you observe to make this determination?

    Language Development

                Briefly explain to the reader the five parts of language development (cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, which elements of speech were observed? Provide something the child stated that supported the presence of that part of speech. What behaviors did you note to come to that determination? Were there any aspects of speech not yet developed? Based on this, is the person’s language development within normal limits?

     

    Social Development

    Psychosocial Development.Briefly explain to the reader Erikson’s Psychosocial stage theory (cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, what stage would they best fit into? How is the person you observed doing in terms of reconciling any conflict in that stage? What behaviors did you note to come to that determination?

    Moral Development. Briefly explain to the reader the person’s Kohlberg and Piaget’s theories of moral reasoning (cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, what stage would the person be in relative to these theorists? Provide something the child did or stated that supported your determination.

    Emotional Development

    Basic Emotions.Briefly explain to the reader what basic emotions are (cite your source). What basic emotions did you observe? Connect back to your explanation of basic emotions.

    Complex Emotions. Briefly explain to the reader what complex emotions are (cite your source). What complex emotions did you observe? Connect back to your explanation of complex emotions.

    Anxieties. (e.g., separation and stranger anxiety). Briefly explain to the reader the concepts of separation and stranger anxiety(cite your source). Based on the age of the person you observed, were either of these anxieties observed? Provide something the child stated or did that supported that helped you  come to that determination? Based on this, is the person’s language development within normal limits?

    Attachment.Briefly explain to the reader the Ainswsorth’s four attachment styles (cite your source). Based on what you observed, which attachment style best describes the person you observed? What behaviors did you note to come to that determination.
