Your 11 year old daughter, a rather picky eater, refuses to eat any preserved foods-ham, bacon, corn beef, pickles and even jams! She contends that these foods do not have to be kept frozen or even refrigerated and therefore are packed with bacteria and or fungi. To your dismay, your spouse has consistently supported your daughter’s rationale, and has decided to take a hiatus from eating these foods as well!
