DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

I was listening to radio recently, and I think I heard that Baltimore has one of the highest incidences of Gonorrhea, Syphilis and Chlamydia in the country. I am still in a state of disbelief! I need you to help me verify this information.

1. Investigate and then design a PowerPoint presentation:

(i) with information that verifies or refutes the statement I thought I heard

(ii) to educate our fellow Marylanders about the causes and treatment for the three most common sexually transmitted diseases--Gonorrhea, Syphilis and Chlamydia.  Your presentation must include the groups that are currently most affected with these STDs and the latest trends emerging with these diseases.

Presentation should be 450 words maximum. Please include a word count.

(iii) Your last slide must be an informational advertisement with information about resources available for individuals infected with these STD's within our tri-county area (St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert Counties.)
