- To demonstrate a good understanding of the research process involved in undertaking your primary work and the methodologies and methods for doing so
- A good defence/justification of the decision you have made with regard to your research approach: Why did you choose the methodology/methods etc. Use literature to support your argument

- Important to demonstrate an understanding of each of the key areas and be able to justify and defend your choices: Evidence of reading and understanding
- Think about an appropriate research sample and how you will select participants
- Realistic time frame: Provide a clear and feasible plan for undertaking the primary research
