the second assignment is a PERSUASIVE ESSAY about if the U.S. should require a term of service for a U.S. citizens

you have to take a position on that topic.. i think we all SHOULD be required to serve at least one term of service here in the US

the rubric has everything i'll be graded on

there doesn't need to be an abstract, but a thesis

3-4 pages 

thesis, body, conclusion

there has to be an opposing view in the thesis before giving the 3 main reasons why you support serving a required military term

for the essay, they want 5 paragraphs, 3-7 sentences per paragraph. 1 for intro/thesis, 2-4 for body, and 1 for conclusion.

and for the essay, there needs to be at least 3 references.. i believe the rubric says 2

however, they want 3 correctly formatted references with citations

at least 3** you can use more, of course
