Religion plays a significant role in the culture and lifestyles of people in society. Israel, Roman, and Egypt have strong religious beliefs, influencing their living arrangements and social development. Most people in Egypt are Muslims, followed by Christians (Assmann, 2008). In Rome, Christianity is strong and is often referred to as the home of Catholics because its roots and religious history are traced to the nation. On the other hand, Israel is highly populated with Jewish with the lowest population being Christians. These religions affect the culture of the people differently. Therefore, they are a source of most norms. Religion and culture influence each other leading to the formation of norms and believes in different social groups.
Egyptians, Israelites, and Romans are the center of this study, and it will help in understanding the history of their religions and how it has affected their culture. The data for this study will be gathered from analyzing previous research to find the knowledge gap in the religions and help find a relationship between culture and religion (Bennett, 2003). Dominant faiths influence nations and influence each other and have a part to play in the economic and social growth of the nations. It is essential to understand the beliefs of the people and historical development to understand their behaviours and social groups.
Egypt is a nation that most people are Muslims, while in Rome, most people are Christians which has led to different cultures. These nations play a significant role in the history of their respective religions. In Egypt, the constitution gives freedom to other faiths to perform their religious activities (Assmann, 2008). However, if the activities go against Islamic law, it is illegal, and one is subject to punishment fit by the constitution. In Rome, which is home to catholic, many activities are based on the beliefs of the Catholic Church. Therefore, many practices in the nation are carried out through the church rules.
Israel is highly populated with Jewish followers, which influences their lifestyle and holidays that matter most to them. Unlike Rome and Egypt, Israel gives its citizens complete freedom to perform their practices as long as it is not against the constitution (Bennett, 2003). The Jewish religion also influences the lifestyle of people by giving them choices in food, stages of life, and clothing of its followers. Been the religion with the most followers has influenced the perspectives of most people in the nation. Therefore, Israel, Rome, and Egypt play a significant role in the lives of their citizens.
Research has been conducted to determine the history of their culture and religion, which has helped find a gap in how religion continues to influence each other with the changing economy and international relations trends. The three nations also have influenced each other leading to the influence in their perspectives about life. Research on how religion influences policies and government activities should be carried out. These will help in discovering effective practices to facilitate development in a nation. Religion and culture are interrelated.
