You will write an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is a list of sources with a paragraph under each source that describes what the source is about as well as its relevance/usefulness. You will find sources related to your cultural group and health disparity of your choice.
Use the Internet to find at least 5 current, relevant, and credible sources. Note: The textbook should be one of your sources.
Guiding Questions
Some guiding questions to help kickstart your Internet search:
What health disparities exist among your population?
What causes this health issue?
What is the health issue linked to (i.e., behavior, environment, socioeconomic status, etc.)?
What are the general beliefs about health and disease among this population?
What are the cultural considerations in working with this population?
What is currently being done to address this condition nationally, statewide, and locally?
Criteria for Success
In the annotated bibliography, you will list the citation using APA 7th edition format and write a paragraph under the citation that includes: who/what the source is and why it is reliable, a summary of the information from that specific source, and how the information might help you write your project proposal. The description should be 4 to 5 sentences. The paper should be typed and double spaced. List the sources in alphabetical order.

Some key points to keep in mind as you find current, relevant, and credible sources:
At least 3 of your sources should be 6 years old or less (i.e., between the years of 2015 – 2021). One or two of your sources can be 7-11 years old (i.e., between the years of 2010 – 2014). None of your sources should be 12 years or older (i.e., 2009 and older).
Since this is a professional paper, “.com” websites are not considered credible sources. Do not use them. Examples of credible sources are government websites, published books, e- books, peer-reviewed journal articles, non-governmental websites usually with an “.org” or “.edu” web address.
While Wikipedia is a “.org” site it should not be cited as a source. Rather it is a starting place to identify other reputable sources.
I will provide the textbook with the source.
