Intellectual journey- formative (Worth 10% of the total module marks. Marks are awarded for completion).

For this first coursework each group is expected to write six 200 words weekly ‘blogs’ (to be posted by each group on the module discussion board). These six mini reflective accounts are intended to enable students to capture and demonstrate their intellectual journey over a period of six consecutive weeks, starting with teaching week 1. In writing the reflective account the student is expected to demonstrate they have engaged with the module theoretical frameworks they have learnt on the module each week. Application of at least 1 module framework is expected each week; an informed critical evaluation of the framework is also expected. This coursework is due before 11pm on Sunday each week. This coursework is intended to support learning and preparation for the summative assignments. It is not marked but is checked for completion.

To get the most out of this assignment, students are expected to use any of these three reflective frameworks. Kolb’s, Gibb’s or Rolfe et al (2001). Students are required to attend classes regularly, since the learning resources are intended to support and inform this coursework.
