You do not have to go overseas to experience culture shock, you may have experienced this phenomenon right here in the USA if you interacted with people from other cultures who moved here and have kept their cultural traditions from their home country.

Having watched the PBS documentary “Peoples Century- Age of Hope,” write a two to three-page paper in APA format outlining, in your opinion, the most important influences from the 20th century that are currently playing out in the 21st century.

Select one of the universal cultural systems you would like to explore in your selected country (Ukraine). for example, economic, social control, education, marriage/family, religion/superstition, etc.). Find three articles describing that system in this country (Ukraine)

1. Complete an annotated bibliography summarizing each article in a paragraph or two.

2. Write a compare/contrast essay of the articles. This paper will compare the three articles to each other. When writing your paper, consider what you see as similarities and what you see as differences in the three articles. Your paper should be 3-4 pages long, and any citations should be in APA format. Include an introduction with a thesis statement and analytically focused conclusion.
