For 20% of your final grade, you will submit an Interview in a Word document.
Guidelines and Rubric for the Interview: You will interview a person from another generation using the course questions (What is a good life? How does one go about living it? How is happiness defined and understood? What are the problems we humans must address?**) and write up this interview in a paper.
1. One thousand five hundred words minimum submitted on or before the due date.
2. Use of first person in your snappy
introductory paragraph. Remember paragraphs are 3-5 sentences, typically. No shorter.
3. In the body of your paper, include the questions you used and the answers you were given.
4. Concluding paragraph(s), also using first person, in which you sum up and analyze the value of this experience for this course in "the good life." What connections can you make between course content and the interview? In what ways did your person tie into the ideas we have explored about "a good life?" Be specific. This analysis is your own, so first person is appropriate. This is the most heavily weighted item in the grade, so do not skimp here. **Some additional questions for the interview: What were your best and worst experiences? What would you add to your life right now? Do you have any regrets? Are you where you thought you would be? What's one event you would go back to and why? What advice would you like to give me?
