The Team Assignment is a collaborative research and writing project that occurs in phases. Each team member will explore the debate on using emojis in business communication situations. Using outside sources, your team will write a recommendation report to an audience of peers (young professionals, fellow students) on how to make strategic decisions about using emojis in professional situations. This could mean explaining how you should use emojis, why you should not, or somewhere in between these two positions.
Report Requirements
Your Team Assignment should be single-spaced with block format, meaning no indenting paragraphs and instead adding space between paragraphs (like an email). Use 1-inch margins and 10-12 point font size. Once all of the following components are assembled, your team document should be between 4 and 6 pages:
• Introduction
o clear explanation of the debate and your team’s position (tell your
audience what this is about)
o preview of what is offered in the report (tell your audience what to
expect in the report)
• 3 or 4 Individually Written Sections (based on number of teammates)
o Each teammate should write a section that is 2 – 4 paragraphs long,
offering advice about using emojis in business communication o Each teammate’s section should include information from 2 – 4
sources with citations (quote, paraphrase)
o Charts, graphs, or images from your research (optional)
• Conclusion
o Summary of major points/topics covered in report
• References
o Documenting all sources used in APA Format
