respond to the 2 discussions below
1. Does the government have a lot of control over healthcare?
There are many different government health programs including, AHRQ, CDC, and FDA. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality control is a federal department that handles the improvement of the healthcare system and makes health decisions. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is also a government agency that promotes health. This agency handles the preventative efforts of health problems including disease and injury. The CDC informs us citizens about new diseases and how to stay safe and also prevent injuries from occurring. The Food and Drug administration is responsible for the safety of different food, drugs, and products. The government also has many other agencies and programs that overlooks that promotes the healthcare for its citizens.

2. Should the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) be offered to more individuals?
The HRSA provides health care to those who are geographically isolated for example, those with AIDS, pregnant women, along with those unable to access health care. This also falls into Medicare and Medicaid. I know for myself it comes out of those paying taxes when majority don't use it.
I think putting it into specific groups like families and those dealing with diseases is hard. What about those that are homeless or single, the elderly who can no longer work because of age and need the most health care.
I know there are many different programs to help out and try and fit each and every individual, butII feel like the process to qualify or get help is nearly impossible.
