Case Analysis Companion- Individual/ Group Summative Submission (Worth 40% of the module marks).

This is a summative coursework; it will be checked for plagiarism, marked and feedback will be provided.

In this coursework 2, each student is expected to select one company from the list of companies below, to conduct a critical strategic analysis of the company using key module frameworks. The key points must be supported with evidence or examples from credible sources. Engagement with at least one of the weekly discussion articles is expected in the referenced resources i.e. one article for each of the first six weeks.

Select one of the companies listed below and use the overaching question below or the questions under each unit in the Case Analysis Companion to critically analyse that company's international strategy and strategic issues. Complete all questions in the Case Analysis Companion and submit this summative task before 11.00 pm GMT on 16th April, 2023. Please pay attention to the 3 submission options below. You need to select just one submission option. Please don't forget to submit your Coursework 1 (Summative Intellectual Journey) as an appendage to this coursework 2.

Select one from the companies listed above and answer the question below as you explore topics covered under 'Units 1 to 8.' Complete each relevant part of your Case Analysis Companion (Cake).

Overaching Question

Using both the outside-in and inside-out analytical frameworks critically analyse the two companies' external and internal environment, and identify the strategic issues they need to address in the short, medium and long term. From your analysis what are your companies major opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses? Use module theory to generate strategies your company can draw upon in addressing the strategic issues you have identified, and recommend a way forward for their strategic direction in the short, medium and long term. Support your arguments with academic theory.

Specific instructions

• This is a summative assessment and is worth 40% of the module mark. The companion will be marked, checked for plagiarism and feedback will be provided.
• 2000 words (excluding citations, the reference list and the items in the appendices).
• For consistency, use font size 11 calibri/ arial and 1.5 spacing between lines.
• Provide a minimum of 10 references. Ensure you demonstrate you have engaged with our module resources.
• There three options as to how you can submit this coursework 2 (select one option).
  1. You can submit a 8- 10 minutes individual video presentation of your company's international strategy analysis. There is no word count limitation for the presentation but limit your slides to 10. You will need to record your video presentation either on Youtube or via Zoom, then copy and paste the link to your video in this template. After you have checked the link to your video is working and that you have given us access to the video, upload your completed submission template on this assignment page.
