In 2-3 pages 12 point double spaced:
- summarize/describe the key points of your policy/law
- explain why the policy/law you selected is important to you
- analyze estimated pros and cons of both action and inaction
- discuss the implications of both action and inaction on your health policy/law
This part of the project should be reflective in nature. It should mainly be YOUR thought and opinions on the topic.
This is because of the following reasons:
1. Employer-sponsored health insurance is often more affordable than individual health insurance.Employers negotiate with insurance companies to get lower rates for their employees, which means that employees often pay less for their health insurance than they would if they were purchasing it on their own.
2. Many employers in California are required by law to offer health insurance to their employees.
3. Employer-sponsored health insurance is often easier to obtain than individual health insurance. Individual health insurance policies can be difficult to obtain, especially for people with pre-existing conditions.
4. Employer-sponsored health insurance is often more comprehensive than individual health insurance. Employers often offer more comprehensive health insurance plans than individual plans, which can cover a wider range of services and treatments.
5. Employees don't have to worry about shopping around for health insurance or dealing with the administrative tasks associated with individual health insurance policies. References Health insurance coverage of the total population (2022) KFF.
