MED7363 Communication Planning and Action
Assessment No.:1
Assessment Title: Campaign Proposal and Pitch Presentation
Core Task
There are two elements to this assessment: a campaign proposal and pitch presentation. The campaign proposal is designed to help your (fictional) PR agency to win a contract.
The proposal will set out measurable campaign objectives, a clearly articulated strategy, imaginative
and effective tactics, and means for evaluation that relates back to the objectives.
You must demonstrate the ability to project ideas in clear and concise English and in a way appropriate to the chosen client. You will receive guidance on how to frame the document during the module. Its structure will broadly follow the sequence set by the lecture/workshop programme.
This is a client-facing document not an academic submission and is not likely to make explicit reference to academic theory. It will certainly require desk research and sources for factual information should be included.
The campaign pitch presentation should take the form of a PowerPoint with recorded audio and should last 10 minutes and meet professional standards. Guidance will be provided on Moodle on how to do record an AV presentation. If you do not have the equipment to do this you can submit a script as notes to the slides but you must discuss this with your tutor before taking this course.
Where to find additional guidance for this task
The assessment will be discussed in class in several sessions across the course. Examples of previous submissions will be available on Moodle. Please read the How to Succeed in this Assignment document. You will offered a short tutorial, outside class, to discuss the suitability of your chosen topic and approach.
Marking Criteria are in the attached file please check the attached file for complete details.
