Can we live in a world without significant borders? Can groups of people have their own land and governance, but no formal significant border to separate the people from one another? We know there is a border between the United States and Canada, but does it really need to exist? Shouldn't people between the United States and Canada freely move from one country to another? Why is our border with Mexico so different than our border with Canada? What is going on in Europe with their borders? You can freely move between many of the countries in Europe, so do borders really matter within Europe?
