Activity 1: Choosing keywords
This week's content is again to help you with the Critical Review: Dysfunctional synaptic processes underlie cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s Disease. Review the evidence from the literature regarding these processes. Your answer should make reference to key areas of pathology. These areas may include alterations in neurotransmitter levels, changes in receptor functionality, and/or aggregation of neuronal pathology.
1.1 List 5 keywords you could use to search for literature relevant to the critical review question.
Activity 2: Keyword searching
Each group member should complete a literature search, via the library search bar, using at least one keyword from the list you compiled in activity 1. Remember, you should be trying to find empirical research articles, not reviews.
2.1 Indicate which keyword(s) you are searching
2.2 List the one most relevant article you’ve found based on the keyword search (In-text citation).
2.3 Also indicate how useful you think you will find the article for your literature review, on a scale of 1 (useless) to 10 (it’s going to be the most important article).
2.4 Briefly explain why you gave the rating you did.
Activity 3: Reference list
3.1 Using all the references each group member found, present them as an APA 7 formatted reference list. Please refer to the library's APA 7 guide to help you with this.
