Part B will be composed of a Results and a Discussion section
The Results section is another critical component of a Scientific Lab Report, which is intended to describe the main findings of the experiment. The Results section will be worth up to 50% of your total mark for this assessment item.
**Your Results section should also include visual depictions of your data in the form of scientific Figures produced using graphing software and presented in APA format.
***This section includes written descriptions of the main findings relevant to your Predictions. These descriptions of your findings must be expressed with reference to the independent and dependent variables described in your Design section from Part A and must be supported by statistical evidence. This statistical evidence will be evaluated using a statistical software package called JASP which is freely available online- the graphs are already provided in the Writing your Results and Discussion attached
Discussion (700-750 words).
**This section begins with a set of sentences in which you describe your main findings in sentence form with respect to your Predictions. What did you find? Were your predictions supported or not? How do you know exactly? Once you have described your findings in relation to your predictions, you then evaluate the implications in terms of the rationale/theory provided to you when writing your Aims and Hypotheses in Lab Report Part 1. Finally, comes the conclusion whereby you provide a sentence or two summarising your principal findings.
