This is a TWO-PART requirement. REMEMBER THERE ARE TWO DUE DATES!

First-part: answer all four questions in the same single post with at least two substantive paragraphs each. Each answer is worth 5 points. The initial post is worth a total of 20 points. Your post must be made by noon (12:00 PM) on 10 July 2024. Late submissions are only accepted until noon (12:00 PM) on 12 July 2024 but will be penalized in accordance with the syllabus. You will not see others' replies until you post your own.

1. Choose one of the alternative ways of looking at the Intelligence Community (Lowenthal Chapter#3) and briefly discuss your understanding of that view.

2. List the three principal roles of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and explain how it is different from the previous Director of Central Intelligence`s (DCI) roles.

3. Briefly discuss the relationship between the DNI and the President.

4. Briefly discuss the new areas of rivalry between different members of the Intelligence Community.

Second-part: React to at least four fellow students` posts. You do not have to react to each answer, rather highlight any parts of the replies that you think were particularly good and explain why/parts that you disagree and why. Each reaction is worth 5 points (a total of 20 points). Your reaction posts must be made by noon (12:00 PM) on 12 July 2024. Late submissions are only accepted until noon (12:00 PM) on 14 July 2024 but will be penalized in accordance with the syllabus.
