Identify a single disruptive technology or innovation either in real estate or how companies relate to and interact with real estate going forward (see below for examples), and working alone/independently:
- Introduce and describe the technology/innovation you have chosen.
- What is the technology? Where are we in terms of the adoption and use of the technology?
- How does it disrupt real estate/CREM (i.e., efficiency, costs, information, etc.)?
- What, if any, are the impediments to adoption (i.e., cost, regulation, infrastructure, etc.)?
- Give your opinion and discuss:
- Why did you pick the technology/innovation you did?
- Why do you think it will be disruptive?
- Do you have any concerns around the technology's adoption (i.e., misuse, personal privacy, etc.)?
Examples of emerging and innovative technologies include, but are not limited to:
- Drones, Robots, and Autonomous Vehicles
- Virtual Reality, 3-D Modeling, and Printing
- Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Artificial Intelligence
- Blockchain, Smart Contracts

- Innovations in Building Materials and Building Techniques
- Financial Innovation (i.e., Crowdfunding, Insurance)
- Metaverse (virtual worlds)
