PURPOSE

In this course, you've gained substantial knowledge about individual words, particularly in the medical and scientific fields. Effective communication, however, goes beyond understanding isolated words—it involves using them accurately and appropriately within a given context. This assignment will allow you to apply your newly acquired medical and scientific terminology in a fictional case study paper, simulating real-world scenarios.

Learning Objective:

TASK

Write a 2 page (after being double-spaced) fictional medical or veterinary case study, incorporating medical terminology learned in class.

Your case study should include the following elements:

• Description of the Patient's Symptoms and Complaints: Provide a detailed account of the patient’s current issues.
• Summary of the Patient's Medical History: Outline the patient’s relevant medical background.
• Summary of the Recommended Treatment: Describe the course of action suggested to address the patient's condition.

At the end of your paper, include:

• Glossary of Terms: Define at least 15 terms derived from the roots, prefixes, or suffixes studied in class. This glossary should be included at least 2 pages.
• Bibliography: If you consult any sources other than Dunmore and Fleischer, include a bibliography.

CRITERIA

• To ensure your paper meets the requirements, be sure it includes:
