Choose one of the stories you have read for this module and complete one of the following response activities:

Write a letter to the author/narrator of one of the stories in which you respond directly to them about the story they have shared.  Through your letter, you will demonstrate your close reading and understanding of the story, creatively incorporating textual evidence from the text. You should also feel free to express your empathy and any personal connections you might feel in response to the author's story. You will upload your letter here in Canvas. 🌟 BONUS POINTS if you do a video recording of yourself reading the letter and then offering commentary about your process (how you decided which author/narrator to write and what you wanted to say to them, etc.) Videos should be 1-3 minutes total.

If you are more of a visual communicator and enjoy making art, create an original 3-piece art exhibit to represent one of the stories. You may use a variety of mediums for this. You will photograph your display and post the images to Canvas. Be sure to include an explanatory paragraph for each piece to indicate how it relates to, illuminates, and deepens our understanding of the story (characters, an important scene, themes, tone, mood, setting, etc.). 🌟 BONUS POINTS if you do a video recording of yourself talking about the different pieces (and include commentary about your decision-making process, how you made them, etc.) Videos should be 1-3 minutes total.

If you are someone who enjoys music, compose an annotated 10-item playlist for the author/narrator of one of the stories. "Annotated" in this instance means you will need to explain how each of the songs you choose relates to, illuminates, and deepens our understanding of the story (characters, themes, an important scene, tone, mood, setting, etc.) 🌟 BONUS POINTS if you do a video recording of yourself taking your viewers through the titles of the playlist, sharing thoughts about your decision-making process in selecting the songs. Videos should be 1-3 minutes total.
