An Initial response to the directions, below, is due by Wednesday at 11:59pm. The post should address all aspects of the assignment with the post being factually correct, reflective, and have substantive contribution to advance the discussion. At least two references should be used with one being a textbook for this course. After you post your initial post, you will respond to classmates on at least two different days by Sunday at 11:59 pm (three different days, total). At least one reference should be used with one being a textbook for this course. This assignment is an academic writing assignment in which full sentences should be used, no bullet points or pictures. Use APA formatting for citations and references. Do not copy and paste from articles, as this constitutes as plagiarism. You will want to refer to the discussion post grading rubric in your syllabus to ensure you obtain maximum points.

If you are copying something "word for word' it should be in quotes and cited with the author, date, and page number to avoid plagiarism. If you are taking anything from resources, it must be cited even if you are paraphrasing. Students are expected to do their own work at all times. This includes not using artificial intelligence (i.e. ChatGPT or similar products) as a reference for any assignment.

Assignment:

1. Do you think moving documentation from paper to computerized form has been more helpful? Why or why not? Expand on this. Do you think it interferes with nurse-patient interaction if the nurse is on the computer while completing interventions, such as assessments?

2. How do you think health informatics has changed or influenced the nursing profession and how do you think it has influenced the nursing role?
